Annually on October 7, You Matter to Me Day is observed. It’s important to tell loved ones how you feel. A loved one may pass away and you might not get a chance to tell them that they mattered to you. Matter of fact, expressing your feelings regularly is one of the most critical and essential aspects of any relationship. Today is the day to tell your friends and family that they matter to you.
History of Matter to Me Day
Linda Jew found You Matter to Me day in 2010. She lost a good friend and his son in an accident. Unfortunately, she was unable to express her true feelings to them and felt regret. Linda realized that life is short and that you should express your feelings to others every day. The date of the day was chosen keeping in mind of the astrological charts that showed a New Moon in Libra. The New Moon in Libra is a time that represents new beginnings.
How to Observe
Tell someone that they matter to you. Make it known that you care about them and are glad they are in your life. Celebrate with family by having a small gathering. Send cards to friends to those who wish you were able to speak more too. Be more expressive to those that matter to you by sharing your feelings with them. People are happier on You Matter to Me day because it encourages affection. It also brings people closer. Avoid the feeling of regret and tell your friends and family that they matter to you.
