Safety In Spring
Safe driving in Alaska is a priority, especially as spring driving conditions begin. Merdes Law Office, P.C. has blogged over the years and expressed on the radio how important it is to be alert and safe while driving. With break-up approaching and the sun returning, Alaskan drivers experience a lot of unique driving conditions. Through each season Merdes Law Office would like to remind everyone to take care and drive smartly.
Tips For A Safer Spring Driving Season
Driving has challenges and one needs to take precautions no matter where you live. However, if you are prepared and have the right tools, navigating Alaska roads can be not only scenic but safer:
- Seatbelts – fashionable in all seasons and go with every outfit
- Sun safety on those morning and afternoon commutes is a must
- Make sure to share the roads with ATVs and motorcycles as they are out and about
- Construction season will be here so be aware and alert while traveling in these areas
- Remember: big truck traffic increases as spring brings more transportation of goods and services
- With extra sun can come sleep adjustments so be sure to get plenty of rest so you’re at your best behind the wheel
Remember
April is also Distracted Driving Awareness Month and National Car Care Awareness Month. Make sure to take care of the vehicle that gets you to and from all the beauty Alaska has to offer. As you adjust and welcome the spring, make sure to be aware and prepared. Take care of yourself and others while driving; make safe driving in Alaska a priority.
