Every year on March 2, Read Across America Day is celebrated. In 1998, the National Education Association (NEA) established this day to get kids excited about reading. Today also marks Dr. Seuss’ birthday, who is a beloved children’s book author. Dr. Seuss’ books help get children interested in reading due to their unique creativity, such as Green Eggs and Ham. Teachers, students, parents and community members all across the country come together to read books and celebrate the job of reading.
